I am so grateful for the opportunity to represent Pegasus Jewellery in 2023 for a third year. It is a pleasure to represent a small family business. I love styling my outfits with equestrian themed, unique pieces of jewellery; in particular, I live in the magnetic therapy range, which supports my energy levels and pain levels.
As an influencer (@samanthaosborneequestrian) , I only represent companies whose ethos and passion I can relate to and connect with; I feel proud to wear the beautiful pieces Kim and her team create. I am a North Yorkshire based amateur rider with experience showing to HOYS level and judging at county level.
I am passionate about British Showjumping and compete most weekends with my chestnut gelding, Hubert 2nd. We have qualified for The British Novice Second Rounds as well as the 95cm Second Rounds for 2023. I am looking forward to competing in these classes in spring time. Additionally, we have collected qualifying scores for British Dressage Winter Area Festivals for Prelim and Novice. Over summer months, we aim to step up to Elementary and continue to develop our Novice Freestyle scores too. I also own a Highland pony: Talisker Bow Bells, who will do some dressage this year too. I intend to begin showing him under saddle in the second half of the year and hope to contend HOYS ridden classes next year with him. He had a successful inhand career as a stallion, and I am looking forward to doing some showing again after a break.
In my spare time, I work as a freelance writer for national equestrian magazines and blogging sites, and I do small amounts of breaking and retraining horses. This year, I have been invited to judge a range of categories at The Equestrian Business Awards, which is a great privilege and a responsibility I value.
