Our pick of the top horsey days out this Summer

Our pick of the top horsey days out this Summer

Summer is a great time as a horse owner. Events galore, sparkly jewellery and a number of social events not to be missed off the calander. We'e selected some of our favourites that are worth a visit this year. Plus how to accessorise them perfectly with glittering goodness from Pegasus!

The Hickstead Derby runs from the 20th – 23rd June at the All England Jumping Course, Hickstead in West Sussex. The legendary course is packed full of parallels, banks and ditches that offers a test that is certainly different from the showjumping norm. We think that the Maxi Silver Equestrian Bracelet is a suitably glamourous addition to your outfit for a day at Hickstead, adding a luxurious equestrian flair to your accessorising.

Royal Ascot, the 18th to the 22nd of June. Amazing hats galore, the stars of the flat from around the globe and the most valuable race card in the world – it can only be Royal Ascot! Whether you head to the races studying the form and looking for a winner or prepped and hoping to win best dressed lady, why not weave some Pegasus magic into your outfit? Our Pearl Sparkle Earrings will turn heads and those horseshoes might just bring you some good luck.

The London leg of the Global Champions Tour, 3rd to the 8th of August. If an A-list line up of international show jumpers battling it out in a truly exceptional central London setting sounds like your cup of tea, why not head to the Longines Global Champions Tour when it touches down at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea? If the idea of heading into London in the height of summer makes you feel weary before you’ve even started then wearing the Rose Gold Vitality Bracelet will give you an energy boost all day long, whilst looking sleek and on trend.

Burghley Horse Trials, the 5th to the 8th of September. If you’re sad to have missed Badminton last week then why not plan to attend Burghley in the autumn? Sometimes overlooked by people in favour of Badminton’s spring bonanza, Burghley is a top-class event set in sublime rolling countryside with the same brilliant, edge of your seat action and huge shopping area. The Pegasus Inspo ‘Look up, sit up, kick on’ Bangle seems rather fitting for a day watching riders tackle the enormous fences in the cross-country test, including the iconic Cottesmore Leap.

It has to be said that most of these events are very much south of England-centric and we know our lovely followers are from across the UK (and beyond) so it would be amazing to hear about your favourite local equestrian events too! Grassroots-level horse sport in the deepest British countryside is full of such amazing characters and people who work hard to make the events happen, so they are just as important as the big, headline crowd-pullers. Wherever you are heading this summer, make sure you tag us into your adventures!
