The Hickstead Derby runs from the 20th – 23rd June at the All England Jumping Course, Hickstead in West Sussex. The legendary course is packed full of parallels, banks and ditches that offers a test that is certainly different from the showjumping norm. Burghley Horse Trials, the 5th to the 8th of September. If you’re sad to have missed Badminton last week then why not plan to attend Burghley in the autumn? It has to be said that most of these events are very much south of England-centric and we know our lovely followers are from across the UK (and beyond) so it would be amazing to hear about your favourite local equestrian events too! Grassroots-level horse sport in the deepest British countryside is full of such amazing characters and people who work hard to make the events happen, so they are just as important as the big, headline crowd-pullers.
