Christmas Postal Information 2022

Christmas Postal Information 2022

Free Delivery: Friday 16th December 2pm

First/ Special: Tuesday 20th 2pm

As many of you may be aware, Royal Mail have scheduled a number of strikes in the run up to Christmas. This has caused a back log in deliveries and a delay in many receiving parcels.

The hard working Pegasus team are dispatching as normal same or next day, however the Royal Mail delays may mean your parcel is delayed, this is out with our control.

We have always been a loyal Royal Mail customer although we have approached other couriers but none are taking on quantity customers or can provide the secure pick up service we get from Royal Mail.

Proposed Royal Mail Strikes

24th, 25th, 30th November

1st, 9th.11th,14th,15th,23rd,24th December

How will these strikes affect my delivery?

Instead of the usual 3-5 working days, the strikes are firstly causing a delay in pick ups. No mail is collected on strike days. This is causing a backlog at a time when the postal service struggles normally, so we are advising customers' that deliveries can take as long as 10 working days.

However, there is no time limit set in stone, some deliveries are arriving next day as normal, other deliveries are taking 10 days.

How can I guarantee I get my order before Christmas?

We offer a free First Class service on all orders, this is not tracked and while in normal times this is 99.9% efficient. we cannot guarantee this service during challenging times.

We have been told by Royal Mail that First Class Signed for and Special Delivery will be given priority.

Therefore we recommend that customers use the Signed for or Special Option at checkout.

Our last date for deliveries in time for Christmas is Tuesday 20th December using Special or First Class Signed for service.

Where is my order?

Everything is dispatched same or next day. A confirmation email is sent automatically once your order is fulfilled, if you have not received this, you may have a typo in your email or it may have been received in the junk folder.

Fulfilled means your order has been packaged and collected by Royal Mail

If you have chosen the FREE service, there is no tracking available. If ten working days have passed, please email us at and we can investigate.

If you have selected the First or Special Delivery service your tracking is available via your confirmation email.

This has been a challenging year for small businesses, we thankyou so much for your support and understanding at this time. We are all working as hard to ensure the best service in tricky times, we understand how frustrating delayed parcels can be and we will do our absolute best to resolve any issues but abuse of any member of staff will not be tolerated.
